Date: 10/17/16 / Artist: 12. Susana F
In the last Works of Susana F we can see influences of the New American abstraction in the use of strokes, textures, raging colours fighting with horizontal and vertical straight lines, resulting in pure abstraction with some nostalgic strokes from Spanish comics. This is a cheerful and vibrant composition: welcoming carefully produced but not exempt from the irony that has defined all of Susana F's works.
Rompetechos, as seen in this painting, is a Spanish comic character created by cartoonist Francisco Ibáñez in 1964, protagonist of the series of the same name.
The title of this work is a play on words with the name of the cartoon character
