ilustraciones analogicas y digitales de 8 ilustradores espanoles

The exhibiting artists - mostly women - lead us into their particular worlds through their illustrations.  Alba Blázquez, Alejandra Ramos, Ana Soler, Araceli Garcia, Cristina Fernandez, Daniela Ardanaz, Mar Blanco y Pau Sanz i Vila come from very different places of the Spanish geography and beyond: Madrid, Vigo, Alicante, Valencia or Buenos Aires

On this exhibition traditional painting techniques and brushes are mixed with graphic design and new technologies.  Acrylic, ink, collage and watercolour are the techniques chosen by the artists to bring us into a world that pretends to tell beyond the text that accompanies them, beyond the purely decorative image.

The exhibition will be opened to the public until February 28 and can be visited by appointment only. Arrange a visit by writing to [email protected] or calling us on 07909667097.

The artists Fernando Gonzalez (@nenedaconte), Lucia Berra (@lucia_berra) , Maria Elisa Quiaro (@quiaro.studio) y Evangelina Esparza (@evangelinaesparza) come from Madrid, Venezuela and Argentina and, as on the previous exhibition, they all work the analogue collage technique.  Fashion and cinema magazines, books, encyclopaedias from the last century, old photographs or museum leaflets are the materials they use to give a new meaning to images that were not destined to be together.

Different techniques like the 3D collage and and the Décollage are represented on this exhibition. The strength of women, the passage of time, love (heterosexual and homosexual), nature or innocence are recurring themes in their works and reflect on the meaning of life with its metaphorical complexities and contradictions where the impossible is no more.

The exhibition can be visited by appointment only. Arrange a visit by writing to [email protected] or calling us on 07909667097. We will be giving away a 40 euros voucher among the attendees redeemable against the purchase of any of the works of this exhibition.

The exhibiting artists: Arianne Cristiel,  Carmen Reig, Veronica Gran y Xan Xerantes come from vary different places of the Spanish geography: Orense, Valencia, Alicante and Coruña and they all work the analogue collage, done without of the intervention of any computer technology, and based on cutouts from magazines or very old books mixed in with more recent objects and papers.

These collages are sometimes created following a predefined idea, other times they are the result of a random process. Repeating patterns like plants, animals, fashion, nature, landscapes, symbols help the artists explore themes like the relationships between people, their surroundings and their emotions, self-exploration and the expression of what one IS. Life background, inspirations and the subconscious influence the work of these artists who, by giving back a new life to the “forgotten” magazines, aim to create a connection between the viewer and the art on an emotional and personal level.

The exhibition will be opened to the public until the 4th of October. Entrance is free but tickets must be booked through eventbrite.

dibujos sobre manchas

In this show we present a total of 54 amazing abstract drawings, 49 belong to 9 different series and there are 5 individual drawings. The drawings in the series are all of the same size, made at different times, with different techniques and materials that form a large collage of drawings.  According to Uriel Segui "This is a didactic exhibition, composed with drawings made with different drawing processes and with different starting points. They have been combined into a large collage of drawings from different backgrounds which have started to communicate with other drawings and other processes. In this way they have become part of a work that always exceeds any of the individual drawings that compose it".

The opening will take place at the headquarters of Spanish House London in Clapham North Art Center (26-32, Voltaire road) on Friday 16th of March from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. There will be games, a raffle and a welcome drink. Come along, it will be fun!

The exhibition will then be opened to the public until the 29th of April and can be visited by appointment only.

Event Los Artistas del Barrio - 7 & 8 October 2017

Los Artistas del Barrio aims to support and  promote contemporary creators of Madrid. The project wants to transcend institutionalised boundaries of art, normally confined to museums and galleries, and  return it  to its original source, the places where it is conveived and created.

This event, where artists and art centres open their house to the public has been organized in the boroughs of La Latina and Lavapiés since 2004 and this is the first year the event took place in the boroughs of Chueca and Malasaña. It was a great success where large number of visitors could see the works of more than 200 artists gathered in 70 spaces.

The philosophy of this event is very similar to that of Luna13 Galleria and so we wanted to be present and participated with 10 of our artists. We also organised workshops throughout the weekend where we had a lot of fun and the public put their creativity to the test.

Here we leave you a link to the pages of the catalogue featuring our artists. Click on the photograph to see them.

Event DecorAccion 2017 - 8 & 9 June 2017

The Event DecorAccion is an event organized by the Association of traders of the bourough of Las Letras, Nuevo Estilo magazine and the city of Madrid. It is the biggest urban event of interior design and decoration in Spain. It aims to bring  interior design, the work of the great Spanish decorators and also that of young designers to the general public.

In its ninth edition it has brought together more than 100 designers and shops of the borough of Las Letras in Madrid between 8 and 11 June. During these days the streets of this well-known neighborhood have been flooded with creativity, originality and, above all, quality. Markets, workshops, actions with influencers and contests were all part of the activities of DecorAccion 2017.

Luna13 Gallery took part in this event showing a collective exhibition of 10 artists in Recoveco space. This is a great place, full of character and beautifully designed and it is intended for all types of events and business, artistic and cultural activities.

The students of the school of training for employment of the city of Alcobendas came to film and made this great video of the event that collects the opinion of some of the participants. We were very pleasantly surprised to find us in there :-)
