José Luis Barcia Fernandez was born in 1977 in Pola de Siero, Asturias, a beautiful region in the north of Spain. He currently lives in Madrid. He has a degree in chemistry and works as a logistics manager in a multinational retail company.
In 2003 he became interested in digital photography and started making digital collages. Later on in 2011 he bought an iPhone 4 and that is where it all started. His talent has taken him to win second place for Photographer of the Year in the 2014 iPhone Photography Awards.
He loves street photography because of the people, colour, energy, lines, lights and shadows. For him it is relaxing and the perfect way to do something creative and escape from routine. It’s really addictive. Music is his main inspiration. He listens to music when he is shooting in the street and while he is editing. He loves post-rock music and the entire spectrum of feelings and emotions that it evokes. He tries to reproduce those feeling
